    Talented Waller trained gelding who has been a touch unfortunate to not win a race yet. At the end of last prep, Tommy Berry reported that he heard throat noise from the gelding and he was subsequently spelled. He resumed last start at Kensington and was very solid behind the talented Jojo Was A Man. He gets his chance here.<\/span><\/p>\n

    CANTERBURY RACE 3 \u2013 14:05 AEST<\/b><\/a><\/p>\n

    1. ONCHAO (<\/b>$4.00<\/b><\/a>)<\/b><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

      Looks set to be a great battle between two up and comers in Onchao and Siege here. Despite an impressive first up performance from Siege when wide, I\u2019m siding with Onchao, who has the runs on the board between the two. He was fair on debut and then scored two strong wins in a row. Has had two trials leading into this, so he should be ready to go.<\/span><\/p>\n

      1. OBI (<\/b>$3.10<\/b><\/a>)<\/b><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

        Obi has been racing well recently, but is well overdue a win now. During the Spring, he finished his preparation off with two close seconds before being spelled. He resumed last start at Wangaratta with another second, finishing behind The Billionaire, which bodes well for this race. He looks the one to beat here and can finally notch a win.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

          Wide open race here, so I\u2019m siding with the one who has the most upside potential. Shibli is having his first run in Australia for Chris Waller after travelling over from the UK. He scored a nice win in his last run overseas, before being spelled. He\u2019s only had the two career starts, which have both been 2000m or more, but that\u2019s not to say he won\u2019t perform over this distance. He may well be targeted over further this prep, but he looks a great contender at odds if he is ready to go today.<\/span><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
