Chelsea vs Wolverhampton

The Blues will host Wolves at Stamford Bridge on Thursday, January 28 at 5:00am.

Two clubs that are placed well behind the eight ball when it comes to their European qualification contentions, with Chelsea sitting mid-table and Wolves currently placed a further seven points back.

The Blues have hit the proverbial wall, winning just one of their last five matches, a messy 1-0 victory over the West London rivals Fulham.

With Frank Lampard’s front-third struggling to find the back of the net and their defense currently holding more holes than ever, Thursday’s fixture has to be where they turn their season around.

With a majority of the teams that surround them in the middle bracket of the league table, Chelsea will need to collect a nice run of wins to place themselves back into heavy contention for the top four.

The same can be said about Wolves, who sit in 14th with 22 points from 19 fixtures.

The Midlands giants are 12 points away from the top four and haven’t won a league game since mid-December, where they defeated Chelsea at the Molineux.

Since then both clubs have struggled to make their mark and will both be starving for a victory in London midweek.

It may all come down to attack, with questions being raised over the each club’s failure to be clinical when called upon in the final third.

Will Chelsea return to top-four chatter? Or will Wolves snatch the three points once again?

Our Tip: Chelsea Win @ $1.60

Manchester United vs Sheffield United

The Red Devils will welcome the Blades on Thursday, January 28 at 7:15am.

It will be top vs bottom on Thursday, with the struggling Blades travelling to Old Trafford to face the well-placed outfit of Manchester United.

The Red Devils have thoroughly enjoyed 2021 so far, sitting at the summit of the league table after a 13-game undefeated run.

That streak is tipped to move to No.14 this week as they host the 20th-placed Sheffield United, who finally collected their first win of the season against Newcastle last week.

The Blades sit on just five points from their 19 matches, meaning a gap of 35 points is placed between them and their opponents for matchweek 20.

Chris Wilder has failed to come up with answers to the numerous problems riddling his side’s season, but has remained optimistic despite his club’s struggles.

Hopefully some of that hope can conjure their second victory of the season, with the Blades coming close to collecting points last time these two played.

The side from Manchester will look to extend their stay atop the table, with rivals Manchester City breathing down their neck in second place.

Another win this week will move them into the weekend with an extra touch of confidence before they travel to London to face Arsenal.

Will United continue their hot run? Or will the Blades snatch a surprising three points?

Our Tip: Manchester United To Win @ $1.25

Tottenham vs Liverpool

Liverpool will travel to Tottenham Hotspur Stadium on Friday, January 29 at 7:00am.

Fourth will play fifth as the Reds travel south to London to face the Spurs, a match that had pitted the top two sides in the league against each other when they last faced off in December.

Fast track to today and both sides have fallen from the summit since, with Liverpool failing to win any of their past six matches, a run that included a 1-0 defeat to Burnley at Anfield, snapping their record home run.

Thankfully the Reds’ strong start has kept them in the title race as they sit two wins away from the top and one point ahead of their midweek matchup.

Tottenham faced a similar slump to end 2020 and have now looked to claw back from their missed opportunities as they remain in fifth place and still in the hunt for the premiership.

Despite going undefeated in their past four fixtures, the Londoners haven’t faced a side higher than 12 in that run and will be looking to send a message to the league this week that their poor run is well and truly in the past.

With both clubs looking to prove themselves once again, Friday’s clash is sure to be nothing short of exciting, with a fiery tussle set to be placed for the entire 90 minutes.

With star power scattered across the field and two managers nearing breaking-point, this clash is sure to be one fans won’t want to miss.

Can Tottenham return to their best? Or will Liverpool reignite some form?

Our Tip: Both Teams To Score @ $1.60
