ROSEHILL RACE 7 – 16:10 AEST The Golden Rose is one of the top 3 year old events of the season, and is no doubt the headline race this Saturday. With a top class field assembled, the race looks set to be a ripper and all eyes will be on whether Rothfire can continue his impressive run and add to his career win tally. He faces a similar field to last start, where he was able to defeat the hotpot Farnan after a questionable ride from Bowman.

Pace looks to be genuine here with frontrunner Yardstick likely to cross from a wider barrier and lead them along from red hot favourite Rothfire. Peltzer should be prominent from gate 3 also. Global Quest and Sauvestre look to be the next pair. Kings Legacy and Ole Kirk should be the backmarkers here.

Rothfire looks a deserving favourite here after an ominous start to the beginning of his career. He’s only been beaten once in eight starts and returned in superb form first up when gobbling up hotpot and breakaway leader Farnan. He looks hard to beat up against a similar field and will take some beating.

Chased home strongly behind Rothfire last start, in what was a nice lead in run for this. He was also solid behind Anders first up, with another margin back to third. He’s third up now and will be primed for this. With the right tempo he can give this a shake and looks the main challenger to the favourite.
