Brandenburg has gone from strength to strength this prep and heads the field. NZ raider Melody Belle will be looking to add another Group 1 to her already strong resume. The rest of the field will get their chance and it looks like a highly competitive race to round out the Group 1’s at Randwick.

Always tough to map such a large field on paper, but Quackerjack looks most likely to lead from barrier 1. Con Te Partiro next, followed by Homesman and Imaging. From there it gets incredibly messy and the field is more than likely going to be heavily strung out. Melody Belle and Brandenburg should land smack bang in the middle of the field. Shared Ambition and Mister Sea Wolf map a little further back. Nettoyer and Yulong Prince should round out the field.

No doubt the class of the race here and a deserving favourite. Last prep she won four consecutive Group 1 races and was only narrowly beaten in a fifth. She’s been solid without being spectacular this prep, running third in her two starts. Looks to be peaking third up here and will be tough to beat.

Had a torrid run in transit last start in the Group 1 George Ryder, he was three wide at the back of the field and was unable to find late. Happy to forgive that run. His previous form has been superb and he’s beaten Melody Belle home previously. In the mix here.

|
