OVERVIEW<\/b><\/h3>\n

Racing faced much uncertainty this week but we have been given the green light to go ahead and another small but quality field of 9 runners has been assembled for the Tancred Stakes at Rosehill this week.\u00a0 Avilius and Verry Elleegant are backing up from last week\u2019s Ranvet Stakes and come up against some quality opposition in Mugatoo and Mustajeer.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

SPEED MAP<\/b><\/h3>\n

Pace up front doesn\u2019t look to be extreme and it looks like that Angel Of Truth should have a relatively easy time out in front. Verry Elleegant and Carif should be the next pair but neither are likely to challenge the tempo out in front. Mugatoo, Avilius and Mirage Dancer are likely the next three further back to the remaining runners.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

KEY RUNNERS<\/b><\/h3>\n

  1. AVILIUS (<\/b>$5<\/b><\/a>)<\/b><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    Was poor two starts back and was tipping him to bounce back last week after that run. He failed to fire and was beaten convincingly by both Addeybb and Verry Elleegant. He was unsuited by the slow tempo there however and I think he\u2019s close to finding a suitable race soon. No issue with the 2400m and looks in the mix again.<\/span><\/p>\n

    1. MUGATOO (<\/b>$7.50<\/b><\/a>)<\/b><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

      Overseas raider who finally had his colours lowered for the first time last week in a race where he was unsuited by the slow tempo in the run. He was defeated by Young Rascal, who was superb on the day and was given a very good ride. Mugatoo is likely a level below the top runners here and is looking for a strong pace, which he probably won\u2019t get it here. He definitely looks a chance to improve up in distance.<\/span><\/p>\n

      1. VERRY ELLEEGANT (<\/b>$2<\/b><\/a>)<\/b><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

        Absolutely relished the jump to 2000m last start and ran a terrific race, looming to win and even hitting the front during the straight. Unfortunately, she was unable to fend off the challenge of International Stayer Addeybb, who ran a very smart race. 2400m is no issue here and she will take some beating.<\/span><\/p>\n

        BLUEY\u2019S PICK<\/b><\/h3>\n

        1. VERRY ELLEEGANT (<\/b>$2<\/b><\/a>)<\/b><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

          Looks to get the run of the race behind leader Angel Of Truth. Ran a very good race last start but unfortunately found one better. Avilius was no match for her off the slow tempo, which we are likely to see again here. That form looks top quality and should have the rest of these covered.<\/span><\/p>\n
