Blue Diamond winner Tagaloa will be looking for redemption against Farnan, who scored a dominant victory against him last start. Also looking for redemption is Hanseatic, who fell a head short in the Blue Diamond against Tagaloa. Looks like a terrific race on paper with many runners staking a claim in the race.

Pace should be genuine here with a number of frontrunning types engaged. Mildred should cross from an outside barrier but Mamaragan and Away Game may hold her out from the inside. Farnan shouldn’t be far away either but won’t have it as easy as he did last start. Prague and Dame Giselle look to get the run of the race. Tagaloa should be just behind them. Hanseatic maps toward the rear with a number of other runners.

Was unsuited last start when ridden toward the rear of the field and away from the fence in the Todman Stakes. He finished the race off well behind Farnan however and should relish the pressure that is likely to come in this race. Looks to be one of the main hopes.

Has now won four out of five career starts and was particularly brilliant last start when well supported in the Todman. Was able to lead all the way and kick away for a soft win. Looks to be peaking at the right time for this and should prove tough to get past in the straight.

|
