RANDWICK RACE 5 – 15:05 AEDT A small but quality field assembles here for the 2020 Canterbury Stakes. Amongst them are Group 1 winners; The Bostonian, Begood Toya Mother and Alizee plus improving horses on the up Savatiano and Standout, who are looking to secure their first Group one victory.

Looks to be a mad dash for the small field over 1300m here with a number of quick beginners engaged. The three most likely to contest for the lead will be; White Moss, Savatiano and Begood Toya Mother. Standout and The Bostonian should be the next pair. Alizee & Mister Sea Wolf should round at the field.

Resumed solidly with a 1.5L 2nd to star performer Standout in the Expressway despite being cramped and sitting last rounding the turn. Followed that up with a strong victory on Soft ground in the Group 2 Apollo Stakes, defeating the likes of Dreamforce and Happy Clapper. Should improve here and won’t be far away.

Really impressed me first up, blowing away the field at Rosehill by nearly 3L in the Group 2 Millie Fox. This race is no doubt harder but she can improve here second up as she did last preparation to win the Group 2 Tristarc Stakes. Up to this.
