Burnley vs Manchester City

Pep Guardiola’s side now sit 11 points behind league leaders Liverpool, following a 2-2 draw at Newcastle on the weekend.

Kevin De Bruyne’s late wondergoal was cancelled out by Jonjo Shelvey’s rocket with just a few minutes to spare, meaning City have dropped points in two of their past five matches.

They’ll enter this game without Sergio Aguero and Ilkay Gundogan, while Burnley has question marks around trio Charlie Taylor, Ashley Westwood and Erik Pieters.

The Clarets were beaten 2-0 at home by Crystal Palace on the weekend, but only conceded two shots on target, which were both good enough to beat Nick Pope.

Burnley current sits in 10th place but are just two points from fifth. However, given the tight nature of the league as it stands, they’re also just four points from 17th.

The league is slowly slipping away from City, and they now need to be perfect at least until Liverpool drop points. If City slip further behind, they may be forced to turn their attentions to the Champions League.

However, they shouldn’t need to do that just yet, as three points look safe here.

Prediction: Manchester City half/full double @ $1.66

Manchester United vs Tottenham

Two draws on the bounce has seen United slip down to ninth on the table, after Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s side dropped points at Sheffield United and at home to Aston Villa.

18 points from 14 games is United’s worst start to a league season since the 1988-89 campaign, where they went on to finish 11th.

Marcus Rashford has been in a strong vein of form for the Red Devils, scoring in four of their last six games, not including his goal against Villa that was eventually turned into a Tom Heaton OG.

Spurs have seen a resurgence under Jose Mourinho, defeating West Ham (3-2), Olympiacos (4-2) and Bournemouth (3-2) in his three games in charge.

However, United represents a tougher test than those three sides, and it’s an extra special clash for the Tottenham boss, with United being his most recent employers before he joined Spurs.

This one has all the makings of a pulsating contest, so expect goals galore here.

Prediction: Manchester United/Tottenham Over 2.5 goals @ $1.76

Liverpool vs Everton

Both sides have only played 14 games this season, although Liverpool are already 26 points above their neighbours as we head into the first Merseyside Derby of the season.

The Reds snuck past Brighton 2-1 on the weekend, but will be without goalkeeper Alisson after he was sent off for handling the ball in the lead up to Brighton’s goal.

Surprisingly, this could be the first time Liverpool starts all three of Roberto Firmino, Mo Salah and Sadio Mane against Everton, which is the last thing the Toffees need.

Everton hasn’t beaten Liverpool at Anfield in the league since 1999, and this may be their toughest test in the last 20 years.

Marco Silva hangs on by a thread as Everton manager, and his position could become untenable should Liverpool win big.

A derby always adds a little more spice to this fixture, although we can only see one winner.
