INTUERI ($3.00)

Has been racing in terrific form recently, sporting two wins from his last four runs. He has been particularly good in his past two, coming off the back of a short freshen which seems to have worked wonders. Should get an easy time out in front and with the Sandown rail out 13m, he should be very hard to catch.

PRIMITIVO ($3.50)

Went under as a $1.35F last start at Wagga but willing to forgive after Michael Walker’s post-race comments that the gear change cost him the start and ultimately were not suitable for the gelding. The changes have been reversed here today and he should be primed third up. James McDonald gets the nod which should be another positive. Backing Primitivo to rebound strongly here.

SOVEREIGN AWARD ($2.70)

Looks to be a really nice type coming through grades. Was beaten fairly by Tofane first up, who has since been placed at Group 2 level, but it’s worth noting that the gap to third that day was a further 6L. She then backed that performance up with a 7L demolition job at Geelong which absolutely looks worth following. Jumps up in grade here but worth following.

WARWICK FARM – RACE 6 1600m 15:45 AEST
