In 2015, the business name BlueBet was first registered with Michael Sullivan establishing BlueBet Pty Ltd, which was later rebranded as betr. BlueBet successfully completed it's initial public offering (IPO) and commenced trading on the Australian Securities Exchange (ASX) on July 2, 2021. 

On April 11, 2024 the proposed merger between BlueBet and betr was officially announced to the Australian Securities Exchange (ASX). Following the tie-up, the combined ASX-listed entity migrated customers to BlueBet's proprietary technology platform and officially rebranded its consumer-facing operations to betr on August 14, 2024.

In April 2025 the company underwent a name change and now trades on the ASX under the ticker BBT as Betr Entertainment Aus Pty Limited.

Sponsorhips

In March 2021, BlueBet became the official naming sponsor of Penrith Stadium rebranding to BlueBet Stadium, a title that remained in place until the venue closed at the end of the 2024 NRL season. 

Betr is a premier partner and official upper-back jersey sponsor for the Dolphins NRL team. The wagering company secured this position following the merger with BlueBet. The partnership continues into the current season, with betr serving as an approved betting provider. 

In 2026, betr was the official naming rights sponsor of the annual Darwin Triple Crown at Hidden Valley Raceway.
